APeX Annual Picnic

The Picnic Plus is open to all known community members in the capital district and beyond.

Please join us for a beautiful day of Picnic, Education, Play, Item Exchange, and Purchasing!.

The Picnic:
APeX will provide the big meaty products, bread/rolls, water, and condiments. If you are a vegetarian, please let us know so we can provide for your needs (at least as it relates to the grill…). Please bring a dish to share! Also bring your own chairs, sun screen, bug spray, and toy bags, as you can play any time you’d like!

Four on the Floor
Is an opportunity for everyone to participate in more than one educational event/discussion the same day. We will have four people available to teach skills and/or moderate a discussion/exercise, etc. to others that are interested in learning them or participating. Four on the Floor instructors/demos being developed and will be announced in the near future. Others are welcomed to demo their skills as well.

The Play:
Play is available all day. We will be in a secluded area – so whether you prefer furniture or a secluded spot, let your mind wander and have some fun playing the day away! This is an outside dungeon that allows opportunities of playing under the sun or stars!

The Purchasing
Have some toys that need new homes? Some clothes that just don’t fit right anymore? This is the place to sell or swap them. Whether it’s a few, or a lot, feel free to show off your wares and let other members of the community enjoy them. And you never know what you may find, and you might even go home with some money in your pocket for stuff that’s been dormant in your closet Please bring your own equipment (inclusive of canopy) for displaying items and be prepared to donate a door prize.

Event Details
Members are free; non-members are just $10. Non-members need to be sponsored and/or already be known to APeX. Advance payment is required of non-members, and should be made in person to an EC and/or BoD member. Payments can also be mailed to APeX, PO Box 463, Latham, NY 12110. No refunds or transfers will be given. Please see the Event Privacy Policy (on our website AlbanyPowereXchange.org) before registering for this event. Register and RSVP on our website the BoD can get an idea of how much stuff we will need. Non-members will receive letters with details upon confirmation of payment. Registration starts for members on July 10, non-members July 21. The deadline for registrations and confirmation is August 10th or sooner if we hit our maximum capacity beforehand.

Members are asked to notify us if they can’t attend, so that others on the waiting list may.

We look forward to seeing you there. Don’t forget to bring camp chairs, beverage coolers with ice, bug spray, sunscreen, toy bag, blanket(s), towel, umbrellas, and a snack to share.
