As a rule, photography is not allowed at APeX events. However, there are occasional exceptions made for special events. An announcement will be made ahead of time if photography is allowed at an event.
If you would like to take a photograph, permission from the host and the subject must be granted prior to taking a photograph.
All people in a photograph must consent. Care should be taken to ensure there is no one who did not consent in the background.
Remember that permission to take a photograph and permission to share a photograph with others or put it on the internet are two completely different issues. Permission to place a photograph on the net requires additional specific permission.
Extended privilege to take photographs at any event may be granted on a limited basis.
At some events a preselected event photographer may be present. In such cases attendees will be made aware of the photographer’s presence. Event photographers have agreed to pre-arranged limitations and procedures to protect the privacy of those attending the event. Please talk with the event photographer or a Board member regarding any questions or concerns you may have.
If you are unclear on the policy for the event, please check with the host for the photography policy at event you are attending before taking photographs.
